“Great wines are grown, not made”

Our Grapes

Our passion for viticulture and the farming techniques we employ grow healthy vines and produce exceptional quality grapes. We also believe we have the right grape varietals well suited to our soil and climate. The appropriate and timely care we give to the vines and soil helps produce grapes that winemakers love.

Barbera

Barbera comes from Italy’s Piedmont region and makes bright, crisp, full-bodied wines. It is known for keeping the right level of acidity with low levels of tannins, and it can stand on its own and also blends perfectly to make luscious reds.

Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a well-established grape variety that is considered an ancestor to Cabernet Sauvignon, which adapts well with the Sierra foothills region. This region typically produces an opulent, fruit-forward variety that surfaces a bold taste and aroma when aged in French oak.

Zinfandal

Our region grows some of the best Zinfandal globally and produces a medium-bodied style wine with rich berry and cherry taste. The light sweetness in Zinfandal makes it a perfect drink for a beginner wine enthusiast.

Grenache

Grenache is a grape varietal which is very versatile for making different styles of wine. Grenache is often used to make some excellent blended wines like GSM (the acronym for Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre). This varietal migrated from Europe to the new world and adapted quite well to the region. It produces medium bodied, fruit forward, easy drinking wine which can be enjoyed young as well as aged.
